The SLS AMG was designed by Mark Fetherston as modern revival of the 300SL Gullwing. We have to say it was a successful effort: with its distinctly 60s-style shape and those gloriously excessive Gullwing doors, the Mercedes-Benz SLS manages to recapture a forgotten era of style - and does so with remarkable grace. It's little wonder, then, that so much of the automotive press agreed it was one of the best-looking cars of the decade.
Pack it with a powerful 6.3L V8 engine producing 583hp, and you may well have one of the best Mercedes-Benz packages since the glory days of the Pagoda. Jeremy Clarkson dubbed it 'The thinking man's supercar', and while you might have varying opinions on the man's motoring credence, you can't deny that's high praise.
This particular 2013 SLS AMG is a compelling example, boasting a matching numbers engine and a unique Designo Mystic White finish on a striking red interior. It comes with a recent major service in August 2022 that cost in excess of six thousand euros, and by all accounts is ready and waiting to be driven away.

This car's compelling use of curves and angles really does recapture what made motors like the Pagoda so legendary; it's more like a kinetic sculpture, with a big branded grille irresistibly capturing decades of classic motoring - while bringing it bang up to date with Bi-Xenon headlamps and an effortlessly fast, aggressive stance.
This example has undergone some repainting and bodywork and, according to the vendor, is in excellent condition - commensurate with its incredibly low mileage and a clear history of cossetting care.

Proclaimed by AMG as "the world's most powerful naturally aspirated production series engine" when it was released, the SLS is blisteringly fast and incredibly powerful. It's a supercar through and through, capable of reaching a whisker below 200mph when it's given the grunt. There aren't many cars since that have managed to rival the SLS, and for our money, there isn't one that's managed to do it with that level of sheer style.
This example is a grand ambassador for the model, with only 6,000 euros spent on a major service just under two years ago. We understand it's driving exactly as it should.
