Cleaning Instructions
Here are a few tips for cleaning the egg cooker:
- It’s dishwasher safe, so the first step right after you are finished using it and removing the food, is to put cold water inside of it. Let that sit while you eat your recipe and then pour it out and put right into the dishwasher.
- The silicone sleeve and even the silicone gasket in the lid can actually be removed and cleaned. But always replace it before cooking.
- If you use a metal fork or spoon, you may notice marring. This does not affect the performance and can be cleaned by simply using a cleanser like Bar Keepers Friend.
- It’s best to butter or oil the bottom of the egg cooker before cooking, rather than using an aerosol spray which leaves a sticky residue and makes it difficult to clean.
Reviews of the Egg Cooker
The egg cooker from Pampered Chef is a great tool specifically for:

- Teens
- Dorm room cooking
- Quick meals for yourself when no one else is home
- Those with limited cooking skills
It’s very easy to use in the microwave (it’s also oven safe to 450) which makes it a great tool for healthier eating as well. Rather than going through the drive-through for breakfast, the Ceramic Egg Cooker can save you time and money as well. I enjoy using it for quick and easy breakfasts, and have taught both of my children how to use it as well. My son even asked for it to go to college with him!
