1.) The Indigo Girls documentary, It’s Only Life After All, is in select theaters now! Reflecting on the massive impact of the iconic queer band, this film is an intimate look at Amy Ray and Emily Saliers’ music, activism, struggles, and community. It’s Only Life After All is showing for limited dates at select theaters, so catch it ASAP at a theater near you—and if you miss it in theaters, see the film on demand May 7!
2.) The official trailer for I Used to Be Funny—from lesbian writer and director Ally Pankiw—has debuted! The dark dramedy marks Pankiw’s first feature film, and stars Rachel Sennott as Sam Cowell, a stand-up comic and au pair grappling with past trauma in the wake of the disappearance of a teenager she used to nanny. Fluctuating between the past and present, the film delves into the effects of trauma, the process of recovery, and the impact of both on relationships and community. The film also features out comedians Caleb Hearon and Sabrina Jalees; see the trailer below!
3.) A first look at queer icon Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn performance is here! Warner Bros released the first trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux this week. Mark your calendars to see Gaga’s take on the classic DC character on October 4, and watch the trailer below!
4.) Fancy Dance has an official release date! The film—from queer director Erica Tremblay and starring out Oscar-nominee Lily Gladstone—will debut in select theaters on June 21, followed by a release on Apple TV+ on June 28. Gladstone plays queer character Jax, who cares for her niece Roki after her sister’s mysterious disappearance. Jax’s time is consumed with searching for her missing sister and helping Roki prepare for an upcoming powwow. The looming risk of losing custody to Jax’s father makes finding her sister even more urgent, thus prompting Jax and Roki to embark on a search that brings them face-to-face with the complexities of life in a colonized world. Find this “love letter to Indigenous women” (as described by Gladstone) in theaters and streaming this June!

5.) Trans actress and activist Laverne Cox has joined the upcoming dark comedy Outcome. The Apple Studios film sees Hollywood star Reef forced to face his dark past when he is threatened with video footage. As previously announced, gay actor Matt Bomer is also set to star in the film. In more casting news, bisexual rapper Ice Spice is set to make her acting debut in Spike Lee‘s English-language reinterpretation of the Akira Kurosawa crime thriller High and Low.Stay tuned for more information on these projects!

6.) The season four trailer for GLAAD Media Award-winning series We’re Here has been released! The new season of the HBO show grapples with the impacts of recent anti-LGBTQ legislation and follows drag queens Sasha Velour, Priyanka, Jaida Essence Hall, and Latrice Royale as they travel across the country spreading love, acceptance, understanding, and community. Find the trailer below, and watch We’re Here season four on April 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT!
7.) Velma season two officially has a premiere date! The ten-episode season debuts on Max Thursday, April 25, as the orange-clad brainiac takes on a new spooky mystery. The Mindy Kaling animated series sees several returning out actors, including Jane Lynch and Wanda Sykes. They voice Donna and Linda Blake respectively, Daphne’s two adoptive mothers and detectives. Out actress Cherry Jones will also return as Fred’s mother, Victoria Jones. Catch your favorite meddling kids on Max April 25, and stream season one now!

8.) Queer actor Johnny Sibilly has been cast in the final season of Station 19! The ABC action-drama series is a Grey’s Anatomy spin-off, centering on the lives of a group of Seattle firefighters. Sibilly is joining the cast in the guest-starring role of Dominic, a charismatic EMS firefighter. He debuted this week in the fifth episode of the season; check it out now, streaming on Hulu!

9.) Billie Eilish announced her third album, Hit Me Hard And Soft, which is set to drop May 17! Several artists also released new music this week, including queer singer-songwriter girl in red dropping her sophom*ore album I’m Doing It Again Baby, along with the music video for “I’m Back.” Also, queer indie-pop artist Asha Jefferies released her debut album, Ego Ride, and queer artist Logan Lynn released a new dance-punk album single, “I’m Just A Hole, Sir.” The full album, SOFTCORE, is due out June 6. In more music news, out songwriter and musician Lawrence Rothman released their new song “Dreams Die Hard.” Check out the music video below, and stay tuned for their new album, The Plow That Broke the Plains, dropping April 26! Trans-led band The FMs also announced the first-ever annual Frankie Fest, a queer rock festival honoring the legacy of Frankie Rex. The festival will take place May 11 at Coney Island, and tickets are available now! Last but certainly not least, Ben Platt released the new single “Cherry on Top” off his highly anticipated third album Honeymind. Platt is embarking on the North American “The Honeymind Tour” this summer, kicking off July 18 in Boston; find a complete list of tour dates and buy your tickets today!
10.) GLAAD Media Award-winning comic book series Lumberjanes is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year! In honor of the occasion, BOOM! Studios is hosting a pre-order campaign on Kickstarter for the release of a new eight-volume hardcover set of the Lumberjanes comic books, plus previously unreleased To The Max Editions Volumes 7-10 and exclusive collectible commemorative items. Additionally, in partnership with ComicBooks For Kids, BOOM! Studios is donating Lumberjanes 10th Anniversary Library Edition sets to children’s hospitals and cancer centers throughout the campaign. Lumberjanes centers around a group of five girls at a scout summer camp, as they encounter unusual supernatural occurrences and creatures. 11.) Bisexual comedian Hannah Einbinder is filming her first-ever stand-up special, and it is set to stream on Max in June! Einbinder, known for starring in Max series Hacks, will be filming the comedy special at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on April 20.
