Stuck donated his body to science and no funeral is planned. Instead, a memorial service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Cross Episcopal, 875 Cotton Shreveport. Joseph Clark "Jody" Ferguson, Jr. SHREVEPORT.

LA Joseph Clark Ferguson, Jr. (Jody) passed away peacefully on March 31, 2005 after a short illness. He was visiting his daughter and her family in California and was fortunately surrounded by many who loved him. On December 13, 1935, Jody was born in St. Charles.

Missouri to Joseph Clark Ferguson, Sr. and Gladys Elzarene Crutchfield Ferguson. The lumber business drew the family to settle in Zwolle, Louisiana a few years later. Jody's education began in Zwolle, continued at Allen Military Academy in Bryan, Texas and he graduated from St. Mark's School of Texas in Dallas.

TX. Jody received a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration from Louisiana Tech in 1960. In the United States Air Force, Jody was able to admirably serve his country and in 1962 he became the General Manager of the Sabine Parish Lumber Company in Zwolle. Linda Chase became Linda Chase Ferguson on September 4. 1965 and the family eventually settled in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Jody and Linda worked side by side almost everyday of their married lives. Their ventures included a loan company, the pulp-wood industry, a florist shop, cattle and a ready-mix concrete business. Jody and Linda discovered a passion for antiques, antique jewelry and sterling. Many may remember Ferguson's La Tienda Silver and Gifts. Jody could be found most afternoons buffing the silver that he appreciated.

Of course, Jody also appreciated books and The Book Mark was yet another industry he explored. Just for the sake of being "well-rounded" Jody also dabbled in real estate, oil, bicycles, wholesale record distribution and horses (but we don't talk about that one!) Ferguson's La Tienda, Inc. still continues today as La Tienda Lingerie with Linda at the helm. You may think that all of that was what was important to but it wasn't. His heart was with God, his family, friends and his church.

He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Terry Elizabeth Ferguson of Galveston, TX, daughter Honour Ferguson Zucco and her husband Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Zucco currently of Travis AFB, CA, son Joseph Clark Ferguson, III and his wife Kay Elmore Ferguson of Shreveport, sister Elizabeth Ferguson Benz (Betsy) of Houston, TX and her family. Caitlin Chase Zucco, his only grandchild, was Jody's little princess. So many more of you could be listed here because Jody thought of many of his friends as family. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. at First Methodist Church, Head of Texas Street in Shreveport with Dr.

Pat Day and Rev. Tom Howe officiating. The family would love to spend time with you immediately following the service in Couch Parlor. Graveside services will be conducted in Zwolle Cemetery at 2:30 in the afternoon. More fellowship will follow at the First Baptist Church in Zwolle.

Pallbearers will be Fred Brown, Chuck Chesley, Tom Eason, Richard Hunter, Calvin Jones, Jim Khineman, Ron Mueller. Doug Sessions. Frankie Spano and the members of the Desiderata Sunday Sunday School Class. There are always so many farewells in the Air Force and my husband Tony has a tradition of always sharing the three things that he will most remember about a person. With this in mind, I know that my Daddy will be remembered as a generous, sentimental and loyal Christian man.
