  • Would it ruin the texture of this recipe if I added a vegan dark chocolate bar to add to the richness?

    • No, you could sub a vegan chocolate bar in place of the chocolate chips, no problem!

  • Another thing is it necessary to use coconut oil, or could it be replaced with vegan butter?

    • Vegan Butter in place of coconut oil, equal swap, should be totally fine! If you try this, let me know how it turns out 🙂

  • I made this recipe tonight, replacing 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips with dark chocolate, and using Pink Himalayan salt instead of sea salt because I was out. Plus I added a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Turned out rich and delicious, but I would probably allow it to freeze in my freezer for another half hour. Thank you for this recipe.

    • Yum! Sounds divine!! Glad you enjoyed them 🙂 My friend also adds walnuts occasionally!

  • Added a splash of vanilla extract and caramel syrup. So delicious!

    • Mmm…sounds delish! So glad you liked them 🙂

  • This looks great and I am interested in making for a vegan bake sale.Once set in the freezer would does it hold up at room temperature?

    • These are best when stored in the fridge or freezer, but depending on where you’re located they may be okay. If the outside temp is 60’s or 70’s, i believe they’ll be okay. They wont melt or spread, they just wont be as firm.

Condensed coconut milk is not available in my area only pure condensed milk. Can obtain the coconut milk separately. How much should I use .

    • Okay, so as long as you’re using condensed milk of some sort (regular milk will contain too much water) the amount would be 320 grams or 11.25 ounces. Just shy of 1 and 1/2 cups!

      • Thanks Cindy, You’re right Coconut milk is not a substitute for condensed coconut milk! I’ve actually been testing recipes all week for homemade condensed coconut milk using different sweeteners like agave and liquid stevia! I’ll post once finalized. Thanks for sharing 🙂

  • Could I use sweetened condensed SOY milk instead of condensed coconut milk? That’s what my local stores have.

    • Yes! Definitely 🙂

      • Thanks ?

  • Looks sooo good! How much is 2 cups in grams? I am really looking forward to trying this recipe, I just dont want to mess it up.

    • looks like about 350 grams. I hope you love it!

      • Great! Thank you. 🙂

Absolutely delectable dessert. Loved by everyone who has tried it. I may have even converted some non-believers about special recipes that taste good, thanks to you! Thanks for sharing what you do with the rest of us 🙂

    • Aww, thank you so much for the incredibly sweet comment. I’m so happy you enjoyed them. And I love converting non-believers!! 🙂

This recipe did not work for me.

    • Hmm, what a bummer. Did you use sweetened condensed coconut? Sweetened evaporated coconut milk and/or coconut milk or cream will not work as a replacement since they contain too much liquid.

      • You can’t use coconut cream?

        • No, coconut cream won’t replace sweetened condensed coconut milk. There will still be too much liquid. If you can’t find sweetened condensed coconut milk near you, here is a recipe for how to make your own:

I did your recipe (swapped out the brand of chocolate chips for another vegan brand I was able to find and I couldn’t find sweetened condensed coconut milk so I used the recipe you linked and made my own) and it turned out so good! I never made fudge before going vegan but was always a fan when I ate it and knowing I have an easy recipe in my book to make some is great! Thank you!

    • I’m so happy you enjoyed this recipe! And making your own sweetened condensed coconut milk…very impressive!! Thanks for sharing 🙂

This is fabulous1. My family couldn’t believe it was vegan! Thank you, what a treat …and so easy!!

    • I’m so happy you and your family enjoyed them! They are silly easy 🙂

  • Can i shorten the firming time? I need to make this faster than 1.5 hour

    • Stick it in the freezer to firm. after about 30 minutes, it will probably be firm enough. If you have trouble cutting it because it’s still too sticky, just use a damp knife. Enjoy!

Help! I made this the first time and it came out so perfect and easy! Everyone loved it! Now I’ve tried to other times and it won’t set or be fudge. It’s more like gooey choolcolet sauce. So sad! I can’t figure out what’s going wrong.

    • Oh no! Hmm…are you using the same sweetened condensed coconut milk? (NOT to be confused with evaporated coconut milk). That’s the first thing that comes to mind because it seems like you have too much moisture.

      • Yes same brand that you used. It’s so strange. The first time was so easy. Do you think over cooking could be an issue? Not sure of it’s what is happening but should I take it away from the heat as soon as it melts or should I cook it for a couple minutes?

        • That is very strange. Are you making a double boiler or microwaving it? once it is melted there is no need to keep cooking. In fact, sometimes i remove it from the heat right before it is all melted and then continue to stir until it finishes. What type of chocolate are you using?

    • What a shame! Gooey chocolate sauce! How sad!
Do let me know what you are doing wrong so I can do that on purpose and have gooey chocolate sauce for other desserts. 😉

I made these a while ago and have been enjoying them from my freezer ever since. Delicious and very easy to make, once you find the sweetened condensed milk, which I bought from Amazon. Thanks for such an easy and good recipe.

    • I’m so happy you’re enjoying these! They’re always in the freezer at my house 🙂

My 4.5 year old approves of your recipe! He has never had fudge before due to food allergies. Thank you so much!

    • That makes me so happy!!! Thank you for sharing. 🙂 My 3 year old LOVES this fudge!

  • I’ve been getting sweetened condensed coconut milk from Walmart for almost a year now. I am so making this tomorrow!

    • Yay!! I hope you love it. 🙂
