Really pleased with latest GP Patient Survey Results 2023.Our PCN (Warwickshire East PCN) recorded the highest score for Overall Satisfaction in the Coventry & Warwickshire ICB, and joint 7th in England. This represents an increase of 5% over last years scores. Our Surgery (St Wulfstan Surgery) scored joint 10th in England for Overall Satisfaction (99%), and number 1 in England for Practices with a list size of over 10000 patients currently.I hope to some extent the work of our PCN has improved the overall level of patient satisfaction for our practices. If the expectation of PCN's was to improve the overall satisfaction of care delivered across a wider population, then this maybe evidence of success. Our PCN & Practice teams share a consistent theme of being highly motivated, innovative, empowered and dedicated to their roles of serving our communities. Some of our work has included:1) Introducing and running our own Enhanced Access service and avoided sub-contracting this to external providers. 2) Launching a Healthy Minds Hub to better improve access to mental health support for our population and introduced new online tools and new professionals to improve the speed and quality of care delivered. 3) Introduced new roles into Primary Care and ensured their delivery supports our Practices and patients. 4) Introducing a Duty, on the day, Social Prescribing link worker to ensure social problems are addressed quickly, and to free up GP appointments to improve access.5) Investing in IT systems to improve communications and data analysis.6) Enhanced Health & Wellbeing Coaching services including innovative Group sessions around weight loss and chronic pain.7) Developing clear values and a fulfilling , empowered workplace for staff ensuring maximum staff retention. On reflection I feel there are a few key points:👉 1) Keep the patient at the centre of everything we do, ALWAYS👉 2) Don't be afraid to try new technology and deliver new services👉 3) Ensure organisational values are clear, and ensure recruitment is based around recruiting people who share those values.👉 4) Trust your team and empower them to become the innovators of their own success.😀 #nhs #primarycare #pcn

Should we involve this as part of pathway of assessing rectal bleeding in young adults with FIT negative and normal blood tests? Clinics running by nurse Endoscopists in the secondary care? To provide same day treatment and prevent unnecessary ordering Flexible Sigmoidoscopy . Increase endoscopy capacity. Time to change.

One of our many at scale services in Camden Health Evolution, which is supported by the NCL cancer alliance as part of the early diagnostic pathway for rectal cancer, as well as helping reduce secondary care referrals for benign conditions where there would be no alternative route for persistent rectal bleeding.A successful integrated care partnership with secondary care, and an example of the value our physician associate colleagues bring to primary care. #nhs #cancerprevention #rectalcancer #colorectal #physicianassociate #primarycarenetworks #primarycare #generalpractice
