Punchestown Races is back with a bang and if the style on day one is anything to go by, we're in for a treat this festival.

The winner of the Bollinger Best Dressed Competition on day one was pharmacist Ciara Toolen from Dublin who was taking part in her first style competition.

Ciara impressed the judges with her outfit which was made up of a mix of designers, including a blouse from Irish designer Aoife McNamara and headpiece from Linda Fleming Millinery in Wexford.

We love a smart suit for the races and Ciara's is by high-end designer Balmain while her jacket is from Reiss. As for her bag, Ciara toted a statement piece from Victoria Beckham for Punchestown.

Speaking with EVOKE as it was confirmed she'd been crowned Best Dressed on Tuesday, Ciara said that she loves clothes and fashion and was ‘delighted’ to have caught the judges’ eye.

She said: ‘This is my first time taking part in a style competition at the races and I’m delighted to win. The style here is fantastic and the girls in the competition have such beautiful dresses with wonderful colours and hats. I can’t believe I was chosen as the winner.'

The 2024 Punchestown Festival takes place from Tuesday 30 April to Saturday 4 May with champagne house Bollinger celebrating their eighth year of involvement.

The Bollinger Best Dressed Competition takes place over the first four days of the event with the finalists from each day progressing to the grand final on Ladies Day, Festival Friday, 3 May.

The overall winner and a guest will enjoy a stylish 'money cannot buy' trip to the Champagne Bollinger Estate with luxury overnight stays in Paris and Reims to include Michelin dining and private transfers. Sounds dreamy!
