Hillbilly & Bluegrass Night is back again and Goes Big! With five bands and two DJs will be more, bigger and louder than ever before. Musically, it ranges from old time to Southern rock. Welcome to the spring’s major americana event!
On stage:
The Rockridge Brothers – Kick Ass Old Time
Merrytwang – Newgrass Soul and Western Swing
Spinning Jennies – Stockholm Finest Bluegrass Band
Luxury Liner – Urban Outlaw Country
Psychosomatic Cowboys – Southern Country Rock
Between the bands DJ Lady Anna and DJ Hank play the best of Americana, Hillbilly and Country.

We are proud to be part of the Woody Guthrie centennial celebration here in our native Stockholm! We will be sharing the stage with some great musicians including Anne Feeney, Jan Hammarlund, Johan Johansson and the Spinning Jennies. Come join us in celebration of Guthries undying legacy!

We have an exciting weekend coming up.
Saturday May 26 we will be playing at dB’s studio in Utrecht, the Netherlands with the best bluegrass band we know: The Blue Grass Boogiemen.
The very next day we will perform at the Hamawe Roots Festival in Belgium.
So, if you are nearby, come out! It is going to be a blast!

We can all die in peace now that we have finally been reviewed in the Old Time Herald, aka the Bible. Click on it to read it!
This also means that the next person to walk up to us and ask us to play irish folk music, any mainstream country song, swedish folk music or “that song from the movie” will get kicked in the eye. We don’t do that. We play old time string band music. Because we are an old time string band. We have earned that title.

The number one bluegrass magazine, Bluegrass Unlimited, have their July issue out now, and it features a very nice review of our new album No Sleep ’til Rockridge. This means that we will be grinning like imbeciles for the rest of the summer. So, no change there!

We released the record Dance monster to my soft song with singer Karla-Therese Kjellvander a few months back. It is now released in the UK through Folkwit records. Check them out, they have a lot of good artists and we are very proud to be in that lot!
Thanks to our friends at Playground music that helped making this happen. We hope we get a chance to go back to the UK real soon, it has been too long!

On Saturday June 4 we will be perticipating in the premium annual bluegrass event in Europe, the European World of Bluegrass festival in the Netherlands.
We will be one of many bands from all over Europe to play at the showcase. Two more bands from Sweden are participating: The Downtown Ramblers and the Blue Mountain Boys, both of them well worth checking out!
