Nu är det hög tid för en fest!

Därför bjuder vi in vänner och bekanta till en ROCKRIDGE BROTHERS WINTER ROUND-UP! Vi har lagt vantarna på söders trevligaste lokal, Barnens Underjordiska Scen på Bondegatan 1 F och tänker trivas tillsammans med folk vi gillar. Vi tar en femtiolapp i dörren för att täcka lokalhyran.

På scen: Ert favvoband, edra ödmjuka värdar, Stenåsbröderna själva, drar en truddelutt någon gång under kvällen. I övrigt är scenen fri för den som vill inta den. Särskilda gästartister får bli en överraskning.

I baren:Er favvofiddler Ralf Fredblad ansvarar för att den mänskligt prissatta baren hålls bemannad och fullt utrustad.

We are proud to announce we will be playing at the Stockholm Folk Festival! It might be of interest for fans of bluegrass and old time music that the Spinning Jennies, Stockholm Whipporwills, G2 Bluegrass Band and April Verch Band also will be playing. Pretty good line up, huh? See y’all there!

Last Tuesday we had the privilege of preforming a song at Håkan Hellströms concert on the TV-show “Scenen är din” with Anna Järvinen, Nina Kinert and Karla-Therese Kjellvander. You can see the whole thing here, we play right at the start.

A big thank you to all the wonderful people on stage, behind the stage and in front of the stage! It was wonderful meeting you all and playing a small part in this awesome show!

We are proud to be part of the Woody Guthrie centennial celebration here in our native Stockholm! We will be sharing the stage with some great musicians including Anne Feeney, Jan Hammarlund, Johan Johansson and the Spinning Jennies. Come join us in celebration of Guthries undying legacy!

We have an exciting weekend coming up.

Saturday May 26 we will be playing at dB’s studio in Utrecht, the Netherlands with the best bluegrass band we know: The Blue Grass Boogiemen.

The very next day we will perform at the Hamawe Roots Festival in Belgium.

We can all die in peace now that we have finally been reviewed in the Old Time Herald, aka the Bible. Click on it to read it!

This also means that the next person to walk up to us and ask us to play irish folk music, any mainstream country song, swedish folk music or “that song from the movie” will get kicked in the eye. We don’t do that. We play old time string band music. Because we are an old time string band. We have earned that title.
