But awareness is a state of curiosity, inquisitiveness. Q: But is it a potential that's there, or is it the full awareness that's always been there? R: Well, it is ape instinct in any case. We are always aware, we are always inquisitive. But human beings somehow halfway through manage to push certain irritating things away, trying to go lower than the animal level. So what we are talking about is regaining the ape instinct of inquisitiveness, sharpness, and regaining those antennae that exist within oneself.

Subtlety of coming into the interest in yourself is that same kind of awareness. It's been there all the time, in fact, fully alive. And maybe it's not any electric dynamic thing, but maybe it's in the subtlety of that relationship. R: It's something more than that. As far as the aggregate of non-awareness is concerned, it couldn't be bothered with anything. Things come up and go away, but you just ignore them. You couldn't be bothered. But awareness is a state of curiosity, inquisitiveness. Q: But is it a potential that's there, or is it the full awareness that's always been there?

A problem might come up if you begin to record them in your computer, and make a case history out of this, adopting almost a vengeful attitude of trying to build a certain structure, or a certain logic out of what's been happening here, which you are in the process of working out. That is unnecessary. You-would be wasting your time. Hopefully nobody will write a book on this seminary. If anybody did write one, it would be very shocking. " So the point is that negative and positive relationships happen.
